I purchased a Primary Arms 1-4x24 illuminated scope (http://primaryarms.com/product.sc?productId=205&categoryId=156)as an entry level optics for my AR-15OR. I have two questions.
1. I assumed the variable power would draw the target in as I moved from 1x to 4x. Instead, at the 4x level the target moves farther way and appears much smaller. Am I missing something, or is this a defect in the scope? I assumed distant targets would be more visable like with binoculars.
2. There are three finger adjustment knobs. The left knob is windage, the top knob is elevation. The right knob is a mystery. There was no illustrated parts breakdown in the owners manual (pamphlet). The pamphlet only references windage and elevation. The right side knob has numbers from 0 to 11. I left it on 0 when I zeroed the scope on the rifle, but the thing is a mystery. I think it may be a bullet drop compensator, but I'm not sure.
I would appreciate some input in these issues.
