Good Day

I have done a search and I've read quite a bit in older threads about issues with the Gen4 17 & Gen4 22 with weaponlights attached. Most of the comments have been scattered in the midst of complaints re: these Gen4 models.

I'd like to see if we could now see or followup with all the folks that have a Gen 4 17 or Gen 4 22 with a weaponlight to hear what if any issues they have with their weapon functioning. Please also include in your description, the specific model of light that you have used. If you have had no issues, even better, and kindly share your positive experience.
Thanks

That's a good idea.

We have approx 400 out of 2300 rds total on one Gen 4 G17 fired with a Surefire X300 on it. No problems. This was a mix of WWB and Blazer 115 gr.

We also have a mere 50 rds fired through a Gen 4 G19 with that same X300 mounted, no problems. This was Blazer 115 gr.

Your mixing up different problems....
The gen 4 G22 is different then a gen 4 G17
The gen 4 G17 is the one that has seen problems in general.
The gen 4 G22 has been very problem free & has worked fine with tac lights
The gen 3 G22 has had problems with tac lights attached.
My gen 3 G17 & gen 4 G22 have been fine with tac lights.

May I suggest that we add the particular guide rod/recoil spring # to the criteria, too?

True! :D but we've already solved all of those on this short thread. No problems anywhere.

I just got a new duty pistol to replace my old Gen 2 G-22. They gave me a brand new G-22 that has the finger grooves and the frame is made in Smyrna , NOT Austria . The grip type is the finger grooves and regular texture .
Is this the "gen 3 " ?
I ask because we have Lights attached to these made by Insight .

SO there may be a potential problem ?

Always good to put a couple hundred rounds down range and find out yourself.

I'm just following up to update you all and to thank you for sharing your info with me. I went to the range today to try out my new G17 Gen4. I attached my surefire X300 and put 220 trouble free rounds downrange.

I'm very pleased as you can imagine.

All the best.
