Not sure what, if any, changes this is going to result in for the end user.. but I think what we're seeing is just another Free choice, and just another nail in the coffin of MS Office.

now if they can get microsoft to ditch their docx format for ooxml... alas, i'm not going to hold my breath. but, the break from oracle does bode well for them being able to stand on their own feet and continue to move forward

f that. office 2007 and 2010 is awesome. SO many amazing features. I love it. That being said, i'd be pissed if i had to buy it though...i got it free. suckers!

I can't think of a feature I would add to my Office 97. It does what I need it to do. :dunno:

Why should I have to pay extra for Microsoft Office. That's like buying a new car and then having to buy the tires to get it rolling.
