Hi Chris,

I just bought a new Redfield Revolution 2-7X33 scope for my Mini-14 (Tactical Model), and upon examining the scope I noticed some form of liquid/moisture/residue that had apparently seeped out around the threaded objective ring that attached to the scope tube. The scope is very clear edge to edge, magnification looks good, but I'm concerned it may be gas leakage. Obviously I'll use it and see if anything degrades (especially since the Redfield aka Leupold guarantee is awesome), but just wondering if you think this is a concern? I'm hoping its just something left over from the manufacturing process.

you doing the right thing by monitering it. If it happens again send it back for a check up also take a picture so you can show them whats happenning. It may just be residue from the lens cleaning each scope gets prior to shipping.
