Hi BOGs,
I just wanted to tell you guys that I have started my own firearms importation company along with a few of my closest friends. For those who asked in the gun show thread, thank you for asking.
Our company's name is Defensive Armament Resource Corp., it's mainly a importer/distributor operation. We bring in the guns which can be bought through your "suking" dealers. Right now we import 2 main lines, the FNX 9mm & 40cal. from FNH USA and the Walther PK380 from Walther America. In the coming months, we expect to bring in other lines.

With regards to ammunition, would you be importing 7.62x39mm ammunition (Czech steel-cased ammo, being the cheapest in the market)?
@mtho & isuzu: Sorry, our license only covers pistol and shotgun ammo so importing those at the moment will not be possible.
@ahtsay: Reloading components, basta for pistols, possible when we get our license to import reloading components.

7.62x25mm AR Uppers
7.62x25mm functions very well in SMGs and they make better sense than 5.56mm in 10 inch AR barrels. Plus commercial and surplus ammo is very cheap.

Yep, it is based on the 870. The reason for me wanting to go the custom built Nighthawk route is that after going thru my AR phase, I want to purchase a firearm with most, if not all the options I wanted straight from the factory.
Think of it this way. Sometimes you want to go to the grocery, buy all the ingredients, and cook yourself a good meal when you get home. Other times, you just want to go to your favorite restaurant, sit down and have your food served to you ;-)

Here's another that I would suggest:
H&R single shot shotguns and pump shotguns (Pardner and Pardner Pump Protector). The single shot shotguns are fun to shoot (and very rugged and reliable).

Perhaps a very competitively-priced plain-jane Mossberg 500 or Remington 870 to compete with those Turkish and Chinese shotguns?
Funny, during practice my Nova used to beat my shoulder up real good but in the actual competition I barely felt it.

Note on all your inputs guys. We appreciate it. Of course we cannot bring them all in agad especially on the ammo since that requires a big order per brand. However, your suggestions will be given a great deal of consideration and will be a factor in our future importations.
@drhiredgun: The US State Department does not allow exportation of threaded barrels which is the reason why we cannot bring in the FNP-45 Tactical.
@jundeleon: +1 on what mtho said. IIRC, R. Espineli retails HK pistols for the current importer.

It's interesting that you mentioned the Browning HP. There seems to be a resurgence sa HPs. I was asked that exact question by my friend the other day. I asked him, "Do you think it will sell here or baka pa isa isa lang ang buyers nun."
Our supplier does not carry the HP pero I'll check where we can get those.

That's good news! I checked the pricing on the Browning website, and the regular and 75th Anniversary BHPs have the same price.
At reasonable prices, I don't think BHPs will gather dust in the display cabinets.
Another that Deenoh may be interested in importing is the 9x18 Makarov pistol.

Sort of, it was based on the PP series and strips the same way, but the mag catch is at the heel of the butt European style.
What about those American and European police trade-ins I've been reading about? It would be nice to get a seldom-fired HK PSP or S&W revolver.

The Makarovs here are made by Norinco, I'll check the model number next time I'm in MCS. With license, about P15k. There used to be .380 versions but they disappeared quickly.
If I remember correctly, 9x18 is a bit hotter than .380, about the hottest cartridge that can be chambered in a blowback pistol. But the only 9x18 rounds available here are FMJ Sellier & Bellot.

I think I read somewhere (CZforum yata) years ago that the original CZ-75 pistol is specifically made to work well with the S&B ammo and vice versa

I may have posted in another thread, but I'll post it here anyway. Marstar has GI 1911s arriving next month. What I've been hearing from a friend is that Norinco is in full production of the GI models and the NZ series; there are still lots of stocks of the "customized" Norinco 1911s here and nobody seems to buy them.

I hope Deenoh could take a good look at this fine 1911 and import it. I got to handle one over the weekend. The feed ramp is already throated, and appears stainless. The only complaint I have is that the demo unit had a mushy safety. From the Tisas website:

My close friend emailed me last week, and he was impressed with the Armscor CS' performance. He used full power handloads in RN and Semi-wadcutters in his initial shoot. No jams, and the gun's accuracy was good. All shots at 30 yards went in an 8 1/2" x 11" target.

I think Nashe had a few of these in stock, as well as some Turkish made CZ clones. Can't recall the price though.

We're now carrying the Stoeger Cougar 8040 & 8045 models (40S&W and 45ACP). 9mm version (Cougar 8000) will be available by September. (Sorry for the mess, this was taken at our storage vault in FEO)
The Cougar used to be produced by Beretta who decided to move on to make the Cougar's successor, the PX4. The machinery used to make the Cougars were given to another arm in their group of companies, Stoeger Industries. Stoeger started producing it in their Turkey based manufacturing plant and the result was the same Beretta quality under a different name. Beretta Cougar holsters, magazines and other accessories will fit the Stoeger Cougar. Current Stoeger Cougars now have accessory rails.

That's good to hear :) We'll bring in those springs with the next shipment. Since we can't bring in the Kel Tec rifles, we'll just have to settle with the KSGs at the end of 2011 :P

I don't process PTCs at the moment. You don't have to be a member of a gun club to apply for a PTC but now they require an NBI or DI clearance daw.
Mobile is still the same, Smart and Sun.

Those rifles (including rifles above 22) require a different license to import

We'll look into this. Pero you will probably have to assemble a group buy because it will be very expensive to bring in a few units only. The cost to import will have to be spread out. Will keep you updated.
