Go to the ramshot web page. they have load data. I like 25.2g for 55g rem flat bases

Their site shows 23.4gr - 26.0gr for a 55gr bullet for a 1 in 12 24" barrel.
It's going to be hard to find data for exactly what you have.
You'll have to make some educated guesses as where to start.

I'm going to be in the same situation as you in a few days. I'm going to buy some TAC this week if I can find some.

I'm using Horn 55gr FMJBT and I will be loading them at 24.5gr like DoctaGlockta.

I bought 16 lbs a few years ago when it was only $85ish for 8 lbs. It shoot really well, wish i had more at that price.

Has anyone figured out how to make those bullets relatively accurate? I could never do better than 5 moa. I know they're not exactly top of the line... But it would be nice to still have some accurate plinking ammo. 5 moa really doesn't make me smile out of an AR

24.5gr with a 55gr FMJ BT set to 2.250 is a great plinking round.

Remington bullets aren't very accurate in the 55gr flat base. Switch to Hornady for more accurate bullets at a cheaper price.

You will most likely get good results, TAC works great in the 223

25.0 was my most accurate load with 55gr Montana Gold bullets. I think it chronod at 2880, but I'd have to look.

I just picked up some TAC because it was on sale at Cabelas for 17.99 and I wanted to use something cheaper than Benchmark for plinking. I found that the Midway 55gr HP dogtown bullets are pretty darn accurate over the benchmark. If they hold anything close to the accuracy with the TAC I may have found my new plinking load. Ive also been told that midshootersouth has the same bullets for alot cheaper than midway, so I may have to try those too.

I load 24.5 grains with that bullet for plinking.

Have fun.
That's the load my AR likes as well.

OP, as always, work up your loads to find what works in your rifle...but make sure you don't skip 24.5 .

I think 25.0 grains of Tac and a 55 grain bullet is pretty standard load.
