I know it's a half-assed 1911, but until my Pro is done (hurry up Deb) I only have two so cut me some slack.

I have about 200 rounds through it without a hiccup. I need to re-shim the sights because it is shooting about 6 inches high at 7 yards! The groups are nice and tight, though.

The sights are Advantage Tactical Systems. They are by far, my favorite low light quick acquisition sight.

I also added Larry Davidson's Horned Lizards in G10, to match my EMP and my Pro (hurry up Deb!). The grips are awesome on this little gun. 6+1, .380 and based on the Colt Mustang, for those who didn't know.

It's a keeper.

My everyday carry gun. Fits nicely in my back pocket or police uniform pants cargo pocket...

Uhh, excuuse me, but isn't that a "MouseGun" in a pipsqueak caliber here on the manly 1911 forum? Maybe you could get some pink grips for it.

(Nice pistol ;))

It would need a complete redesign.

Looks nice. Lots of mixed reviews on these, glad yours is flawless. I may get one eventually.

Those sights are crazy though...!

Ruger lcp when I can't carry anything else. Like Sweeney said in one of his articles "it's better then a sharp stick".

How about 10MM?

Now THERE would be a manly pocket pistol!

Yeah, no problems here. The sights take a small period of adjustment but I can't believe the difference.

The sights look like they would snag on everything.

Really? Not much to snag on in and out of a Desantis pocket rig. For comparison, I've had the same sights on a G34 duty gun for over two years now. Many thousands of rounds through several schools with a Surefire on the end, in and out of a Safariland 6280, a Blade Tech paddle and even a Fobus at the range. Never once an issue. Even reholstering under stress after two LOD shooting situations since 1/09...

Congrats it looks nice I kinda want one but everyone keeps telling me they're worthless mouse guns but what do a bunch of keyboard commandos know? :whistling:

I've relied on some manner of mouse gun since day one on the street. A G26 is too hard to dig out of a boot rig or a vest underarm job under stress. Its a lot easier to access a mouse in a cargo pocket or back pocket, especially during a timed qual.
BUT.... I am not a OCing/CCW kenpo cowboy so I'll just stop now.

Yep. My wife kidnapped my LCP some months ago which is why I picked up this little gem. It seems her agency forbids BUGs to their issued G23 so she needed a tiny hold out piece.

How about 10MM?

Now THERE would be a manly pocket pistol!

I'm recovering from shoulder surgery at the moment. I don't want to have to get an arm replacement.

Labrum?

I had that done as a result of a skiing accident. No fun. Heal up quick, Cochese!

AC joint, for me. A drunk I tried to pull over put his car in reverse and rammed my cruiser while I was trying to get out and approach on the traffic stop.

They had to cut the end of my clavicle off. They took a little over a cm from me. :soap:

Ouch!

Friggin' drunks! Every year they kill more people in America than any other class of criminal.

Enforcement is okay, prosecution is not. Penalties are not what they should be when compared with other nations in the developed world. I have a friend that's a state trooper in my state and he maintains that the reason that the punishment phase of the bust is so lax is because so many of the state's big dogs have been arrested driving drunk that they don't want to see effective prosecution.

Agreed.

I wont look at DUI enforcement the same though... now that I've been directly victimized by it.
