I added the Glock mag release, extended slide stop, competition trigger spring, and a titanium firing pin safety.

It will fire and then lock open after every shot. Is it safe to assume that this is the extended slide release that's doing this?

I'm going to the range tomorrow to test this ( i put the original back in), but I wanted to see if any of you have had this problem....

thanks in advance!

Yes it is the slide stop, mine did this when i installed it incorrectly. The arm of the spring needs to go under the frame pin if i remember correctly.

Either slide stop was put in wrong or the spring on it is bad.

I think also depending on how you hold it, part of your hand may be contacting the slide stop more now that it is extended, causing it to move up and catch the slide. It doesn't take a whole lot for this to happen.

This can also happen if you don't have the slide stop quite seated in its groove in the trigger pin. You might need to drift the trigger pin just a hair over to get it right.

To properly install the extended slide stop, the small locking block pin must be installed first! Then place the slide stop lever into the slot and install the larger trigger pin. Before installing the slide lift up on the slide stop lever and it should be spring loaded and snap back down into it resting position.
