I was looking through ny Hornady manual. They list a lot of FMJ ENC 'encapsulated' bullets. Is there any difference between these and just plain FMJ, as it relates to reloading?

FMJ's usually have an exposed lead base... I think what they men by FMJ ENC 'encapsulated' bullets is the same as CMJ "complete metal jacket" where the bullet is totally jacket and the base filled... no lead exposed.
Yeah, I understand that. Does it matter as far as reloading goes? I was just wondering if it matters at all.

In regards to powder charges or method of loading it is all the same.
The FMJ will smoke a little more with some powders as opposed to the CMJ is about the only difference. I have shot lots of MG CMJ in .40 180g with TG and with that powder it made a very notable difference in the smoke compared to the FMJ. PD bullets are all FMJ.
