I've owned the Dillon 650XL and currenly have two Dillon SDBs in 9mm and .45acp (and a .38spl/.357mag conversion). I started "red" (Lee) and went "blue" (Dillon) many moons ago. Dillon hands-down has the best customer service of any company I know.
My "older" SDB has north of 25k. The other ("newer" one) south of 5k. On the "older" one it's broken:
Frame foot - Cracked (see image)
Shell plate (9mm) - Tore out station
Primer cup bracket - Cracked ears (my fault)
Handle - Cracked (see image)
Primer bar return spring (2x) - Broke
Pressure/Friction plate (blue plastic) - Wore out (could turn dies by hand)
Both my SDBs are "old style" (i.e. original design). Most parts that have broken have been updated by Dillon (obviously others have had similar breakages). I've been pleased to see Dillon's taken steps to fix problems. All parts have been replaced free under warrenty by Dillon no questions asked with the package arriving in 2-3 days. And, Dillon at times has even included "just in case" parts that accompany the main parts that have broken. Hard to beat that service.
Often, folks tend to complain more than compliment. So, I just wanted to share and give props to Dillon. That's all.
