View Full Version : SIG SAUER GSR Revolution STX opinions?
I was at my local GS ready to buy a HK45(I felt like I have been researching that for a year) when I saw a Sig STX, i don't know a lot about 1911 so I wanted to hear from some owners how does this pistol stack up to other 1911?

Its a solid, well built pistol.
I'm not a huge fan of Sig 1911s, but you can't fault their build quality.

i had a TTT, but sold it to fund the WIlson.
nothing wrong with it, except that it's a non-standard slide.

Yeah, I'm not real big on Sig 1911 slides.

The external extractor and the slide kill it for me.
Just my personal opinion, I like the slide, but usually what kills it for me on 1911 are obnoxious rollmarks
btw Bac, how is that Desert Eagle 1911 holding up:whistling:
Slide look sorta similar to a P220?

I love the DE 1911. :)
Rollmarks or not, I find it a muchn better looking 1911 than the STX, that's for sure.

Sure does, Cobra.

If the classic SiG slide or external extractor doesn't disappoint you...SiG makes fine 1911 type pistols...(I had mine gone over by Teddy Jacobson but they're fine as they're made too...)

I have a sig rcs that I have carried for about 2 years. I love that gun.
What cracks me up is that these guns seem better fit than a Fusion. I had a GSR Target for a short while and except for the adjustable sights, I really liked how well it was put together.
I really like Sig quality. They are hand fitted guns. My Sig Sauer Nitron Black 1911 GSR has been my full-sized carry gun for nearly the last five years. I had the Sig gunsmiths perform their Action Enhancement and 1911 Trigger Enhancement Packages on the gun - it was money well spent.

I shot the stuffings out of the Sig Railed. It was accurate and can not remember a failure.
I had a Compact that was a jammomatic. Sig replaced it with another and that one was perfect. I carried it every day for a bit. Put a ton of ammo through it, it was accurate and reliable.
The weird slide...is a non issue. Never had a problem finding a holster and the "looks" grew on me and I actually started to love it.
Buy one...shoot the snot out of it.
And it was a MUCH better gun than the Fusion I had, or any I have seen. Sig's are much cheaper too.

At this point, a Taurus 1911 is better than that Fusion of yours.
