I posted this in General awhile ago, but thought I'd put it here in Mil Surp as well as it's more appropriate here.

I wrote an article on M-1 Garand tips and tricks for my Michigan Firearms Examiner (http://www.examiner.com/firearms-in-detroit/rob-reed) column. I had to break it into three smaller articles due to article size restrictions at Ex.

I hope you find it helpful. Feel free to let me know what you think.

Tips and tricks for the M-1 Garand (http://www.examiner.com/firearms-in-detroit/tips-and-tricks-for-the-m-1-garand)
(Covers the best M-1 manual available, loading the 'en bloc' clips and "The tragedy of M-1 thumb." )

M-1 Garand tips & tricks: Part 2 - Cleaning, lubrication, ammo & spare parts (http://www.examiner.com/firearms-in-detroit/m-1-garand-tips-tricks-part-2-cleaning-lubrication-ammo-spare-parts)

M-1 Garand tips & tricks: Part 3 - Malfunctions & accuracy improvements (http://www.examiner.com/firearms-in-detroit/m-1-garand-tips-tricks-part-3-malfunctions-accuracy-improvements)

And here are my earlier M-1 Garand articles:
