Have you had an Accu Rail equipped 1911?
Do you know anyone who's had one?
What do you think about Accu Rails? The pros and cons please...
what gun are you going to do it to?

Series I Kimber Gold Match - it's on it already, I'm thinking of buying it.

I don't really like the idea a whole lot myself and the first question that comes to mind is why would you put them on a Kimber. They come fairly tight from the factory so what was the reasoning.
Cant hurt, might help.
I have an STI Edge with over 100K rounds on it. Maybe 60-70K since Doug Jones railed it.
I dont regret have it railed at all.

BTW, I never thanked you for that very well thought out and informative answer. So, I'll do it now, thanks Neal.

You re most welcome. :)
I usually think of accu-rails for old clapped out guns, guns that are poorly fit, or guns that require a very smooth slide to frame motion -- to allow light target loads to function well. I considered them for a Delta Elite that I had rebuilt, but went with the gunsmith welding up the rails and refitting instead. I have never been sure which way would have been best.
The Kimber Gold Match has, in my opinion, been devalued by the accu-rails.
