looks to me like a Rem 870 w/ surefire forend and maybe a Speedfeed IV stock

Its a Remington 870 with rifle sights, surefire forend, +1 mag extension, and a tac star sidesaddle.

My guess is he has a little bit of trigger time with shotguns. I have taken a couple one day courses on Tactical Shotgun. They where fun but you could tell the people that put a box of shells a year through their shotgun.
