I'm looking to set up my rifle for coyote hunting, but am worried that a scope may not be very effective on an elevated sight rail. To clarify, I am worried that if i put a scope on it and zeroed it at 100 yards, it would be significantly off at 25 yards due to the slope of the rail. Am I thinking too much into this or am I correct. If so, what measures can I take to compensate for this? Just don't want to drop $200 on a nice scope that I won't be able to use. Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about on top of the carry handle?? That makes it a little more difficult but the bullet isn't off too far unless you are room distance away from the target, a common zero is 200yds which usually puts the bullet on target at 50 yards, at 25yds the bullet would be about 1.5" low. At 100 yds it would be a little high because of the arc. If you sight in at 100 then it will be a little low(maybe 1/2") at 50 and still about 1.5" at 25 yds.
