Will the STI Extended Mag Paddle Style Button screw onto the Wilson Combat Extended Mag Paddle Style Button??

I have to use a paddle style mag release button because of a mangled thumb. I just installed a Wilson version but don't care for it's aggressive style.

I really want the STI version but don't know if it will just screw on the top of the Wilson post. The STI comes with a 4/40 tpi screw, but I don't know what the Wilson Combat version is.

I have considered the myriad of workarounds to using a paddle so please don't bring that up.

If the wilson is drilled to accept the screw, im sure it would. The problem i am running into currently is, i just bought an extended wilson and the release doesnt fit in the factory STI hole :(

From pics, it looks like the STI mag release is longer - in their 2011 pistols anyway.

I did discover the Wilson screw is also 4/40 so that part should be okay, however the paddle buttons have something to mate with on the post to keep them from rotating. The Wilson is a half cut notch. I haven't seen the underside of the STI yet.

I have now seen the underbelly of the STI mag release paddle button. It is flat except a raised rim around the outside to keep it centered on the pin. It appears there is a pin sticking into the hole that likely fits into a slot cut in the pin to keep it from rotating.

I have the STI button on order so it could become interesting to fit.
