What is the difference in fiocchi's FMJTC and say a box of WWB? What is a truncated-cone? I was just looking a 40 bulk and came across fiocchi's stuff and have no exp with it...

A truncated cone bullet is not a rounded ogive like typical fmj, but is a straight tapered bullet that ends in a flat point or hollow point.

The bullet second from left is a truncated cone fmj:

WinUSA FMJ is a truncated cone. Virtually all 40SW factory FMJ loads are truncated cones. TC have the same profile as hollow point bullets and the 40SW was designed from the very begining to use hollow points and TC bullets. There may be some out there, but I've never seen a factory 40SW FMJ round that didn't have a TC shaped bullet.

Gotcha, I was just wondering what it was because it was on the box like a selling point or something...
