Hey team, how is it going? I am not a 1911 expert but I know this board has tons. This is from my friends 1911 Firestorm which was made in Spain. Believe it or not the tube that the safety spring is in was made of cheap plastic. Another person has said he should take it to a gunsmith and have them drill it for a new tube. I figured I would see if anyone had any ideas of where a metal replacement could be found. Thanks a lot for the help.

edit:
Is this a common 1911 part or more for this firearm? Would it pay to put a posting in the WTB section?

Considering the Llama is Bersa there are some steel plunger tube replacements I found here: http://www.wisnersinc.com/pistols/L_Rpistol.html

They are the first 2 listed depending on if its a double or single stack. There is a picture on the bottom showing the shape of each type of tube looking at it length wise from the end.

I have never ordered from them so I would give them a call before placing an order.

A used plunger tube? Can you even do that?

Go to the Brownells site and buy a good part.
You need a crimping tool to do this yourself.
Brownells also has the tools.
