Saw a NIB SS Colt Mustang like mine on gunsamerica for $1750. Can I get or expect that for mine. The reason I'm asking is I want a Colt Wiley Clap or a S&W Performance Center. Wiley Clap is $1300 and the S&W is $1400. I had the little Mustang since new and have the boxes and paper work. Would asking the amount for one of the above mentioned guns be fair?

I wouldn't pay over $1000 for one, probably a good deal less.

Just kidding with you, my friend. :)

Mustangs vary in price quite a bit depending on condition, year, and configuration.

There are people willing to pay high prices for them but its more of a collector piece now. The Sig P238 is basically the same thing only with improved magazines, recoil springs and stock sights which will be cheaper than buying a Colt Mustang for carry.

Collectors will pay premium prices as long as the condition is excellent and its a known desirable piece.

I don't like that site either.

I've but only two handguns over the years on GA and didn't like dealing with it. Gunbroker is much better and more secure, in my opinion.

I think that $1750 is way out of line. Last one I saw was $700 and I thought it was too high. Although, I don't think it was rated NIB. If they really are fetching those amounts, I have one that I would part with too.

Not really grief on my end, but the site does not use real auctions.

Many of the items pictured are already sold, in fact.

And they have no buyer protection mechanisms. If you run into an unscrupulous seller, and there are some on GunsAmerica because they have no seller certification process, you're on your on. The GA staff will always take the sellers side no matter how blatant their offense.

A reasonable top end price is about $850.
