I was just looking at a magazine that had an article about the Novak Next Generation Commander. I was very impressed and was thinking I would really like to purchase one .......... then I got to the price $3700.00 Way out of my league.

My question is are they really THAT nice?

Thanks

Sure.

They're some of the better customs around. That price is actually less then much of its competition.

not a Commander, but should be similar, just smaller

I bet that MSH/beavertail thing is a chore to fit. I've never had trouble with a grip safety, so I don't need that, but it is a slick option to pinning one down.

Yeah, I would miss the grip safety, actually. :dunno:

I ordered a Novak build and should have it sometime in April, so I can't say 100% on anything yet. I had them build a BHP for me and they did excellent work.

I think it depends on what "nice" means to you. Will it have better detailing than say a Wilson or similar build, maybe some but there wouldn't be a dramatic difference.

Will it shoot better during a IDPA or similar style shooting? Again, doubtful.

I think the extra $ is to know things were setup properly and for the prestige (not the word I wanted but can't think right now) of owning something different from the rest.

BTW, Novak has some builds that are more inline with the middle level Wilson's and such. It depends on the base gun used, $900 for a Colt from Novak.
