I just acquired a 1950 Colt Government Model that was supposedly converted in 1953 to a Target Model. Unfortunately, there is no documentation to support this. All I can tell is that the Micro sights were installed many years ago and the wear is consistent with the rest of the pistol.

I wish it had the original grips on it.

Not yet. I just got it in today and it is raining. Hoping for next Sunday to get it to the range.
