View Full Version : Remington umc .40sw
I think i might have screwed up, i just bought some remington umc and its 180 grain, but it says MC on the box and not fmj. Is this stuff safe to shoot? otherwise i'll be stuck with some non returnable ammo.
Yeah, it is safe to shoot.
Different manufacturers often use different nomenclature for the same thing.
Metal Case (MC) is Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) as is Full Metal Case (FMC).
ok great! thanks i was worried
Yes it is the same as FMJ - guns free.
I think MC means metal clad, as opposed to jacket.
It's good for the G-23, blast away.
Man MC, means 'Metal Case,'/or jacket actually, = FMJ. That's all. I shoot the stuff all the time as I do not like reloading for the 40 S&W, I am to busy loading for other things is why. Good stuff, shoots well and has been real accurate for me in G27 even.
Go have fun with it.
I do not believe amy major ammo maker makes ammo a Glock will not shoot.
