View Full Version : 2nd gen G23 question....
I just bought the Glock reference handbook and was just skimming it over when I read that they don't recommend converting to .357 Sig, unless you have a 3rd gen or above. Something to do with stronger rails? I'm kind of pissed because I have already bought my Lone Wolf barrel, along with a few boxes of ammo, and now I'm worried that I could damage the frame.
Any thoughts from you Glock Veterans?
Glock Inc is correct in that the Gen3 is the best for the 357 cartridge however.... We have customers that have been converting Gen2 guns from the beginning.
Umm,I'm a little confused by that JR.....
Are you saying it's a non-issue or something just not to worry about?
Thanks for the response!
Most guys opting to convert their 40's into 357's do it to have another option. Rarely have I ever heard of anybody it permanently. The odds are, you are going to shoot a few boxes of this round here and there. If this is true, you are not beating the gun to death. If you were to shoot several thousand rounds of 357 through your Gen2 frame you may experience a breakage of some sort. At this time I would highly recommend you pick up a Gen3 frame and be done with it.
