because i'd never buy a Baer and for $1525 the Professional was a better buy. :supergrin:

I like the Springfield Custom Shop guns. This will be my 3rd from them.
Going to be placing an order in for another Custom Shop gun

even Dave says it's tighter than any Baer that he's ever felt.

I just got home from putting 300 flawless rounds through it. It is an absolute tack driver....probably the best shooting I have done with a 1911. I am very impressed, and must say it is actually much more pistol than I was expecting. It is some kind of a tight barrel/bushing fit.....actually even tighter than any Baer I have messed with. Needless to say I really like it!!! I am going to clean it up and try to get a couple pictures of it for you 1911 Junkies....:) Stay tuned.....

Thanks, i thought so, even with some of the minor issues.

they were asking $1599, but i did my usual

Me: "Can you take any off of the price?"
Salesguy "How much were you thinking?"
Me: "Well it's missing 5 mags, the thumb safety lever was modified, there's some holster wear, it doesn't have the original grips and the front sight was painted orange. How about $100 off?"
SG: "let me check, i'll be right back..."
SG: "Ok, how about $75 off?"
Me: "yeah, i guess that's OK..."

and it works all the time for me at this shop :supergrin:

the holster wear doesn't bother me.
the orange paint came off.
gonna swap out the ambi for a single anyway.
i have a ton of mags.
grips are cheap.

I am going tomorrow to see what Baer it is. The guy was walking around and was trying to trade the TRP to best firearms. The owner of best told him he would give him $675 so I was going to tell him I would give him $700.

LOL! Typical dealer... $100.00 says if the dealer bought it for that price he would wipe it off with a rag and put it on his table for like $1200.00 - $1300.00...
