I was looking a a Guncrafter Industries 1911 with no name.
It has clean and smooth lines, No billboard (name) on the slide and very nice looking.
Does anybody here have any experience with one of these 1911's? Pro's and Con's?
Thanks

I love mine, almost 500 rds thru it and no problems. Melonite finish is great. I didn't think I would like the 15 lpi checkering but it is nice. Other guys on here have and so far no one has said they hated it.

It is an excellent pistol.....very nice build. Do a search, you will find many, many threads on the NN. Several of us on this forum own one and everybody (that I know of) is more than satisfied with their purchase.

Guncrafter No Name, Springfield Custom Carry, Wilson CQB, and a Baer TDP. IMO the GC is the best in that bunch. It is just fit right, and it looks awesome.

Seriously, why the hell would you want a Guncrafter No Name when you could have this sexiness....

Last time Quack and I were at Stonewall, they had one in the case. I bet they are still trying to get our  off the glass.

At that $2,000-2,500 pricepoint, there are some REALLY good choices. Guncrafter, Baer, Brown, Wilson, etc. After hearing about everyone gushing about the No Name, I was really tempted, but after spending some trigger time with Quack's Kobra Carry, it was easier for me to put money down on a Brown versus a pistol I haven't had a chance to shoot. You really can't go wrong with any of those.

I'm not so sure they're underrated. Everybody who has one seems to love it.

They're relatively unknown is more the issue.

Im definitely going to be looking to either Nighthawk or GC for my next semi build. Both look like great guns!! I went with the Wilson recently, but I definitely dont think this is going to be the "dream gun" i hoped for, but the price was ridiculous on it and had to take it. So most of you would choose GC over NH? On my "fun gun" 1911 build, I definitely want to go with one of the coned barrels and would love a stan chen styled weld on magwell.

Hard to say.

Nighthawk builds a great gun too. :dunno:

I think for the money I would choose a GC NN over a Talon. And I reeeaalllyyy like Nighthawks. I would love to have a Heinie Tactical Carry.

Here is a Predator II Bobtail:

I think it helps with recoil on Commander sized guns for sure.

I can imagine! I dont have any problems with recoil management, but if its the same or improves it a little bit, Ill be happy

I have a Wilson Elite Professional (with coned barrel) with a LW, Bobtailed frame on order. It will be chambered in .38 Super and have some really neat optons. I have no idea when it will be done, but it should be a very cool shooter when it is. I am guessing it will be done sometime around the beginning of the year.

Dave,
That definitely sounds like a good build! I was looking towards Wilson for a 4" 1911, but I cant get what I want from them as far as FSC goes. I know I could send it off to someone else to do that, but it seems like a lot of work when i can get something else just as good or better from another manufacturer. I definitely wanted to get the CQB though to take advantage of the dealer program

I mean seriously.. I am rather attracted to that build... but not at that price..
