10-8 rear sights

Looks like LaRue has them on sale for $30 if you call in. The cheapest i can get them for is $39. I just installed a set on my DW Guardian and SA Pro Operator :supergrin:

I just wanted to let everyone know that Larue Tactical has 10-8 sights on sale. I got an order from them and there was a sale flyer in it. The 10-8 rear sights usually run $48, and they are on sale for $30.

I just got the standard height .140 notch for my Special Forces. Larue part number 601-002. Installed it this morning and I'm off to the range.

So if anyone wants to add one of these nice 10-8 rear sights to your EB, you should call Larue Tactical at 512-259-1585. The sale prices are not on the web site, but you can check out the sights they have available and get the part number you need. No sure how long the sale will last, the flyer doesn't say.

Is there a standard size for Springfield?

yep, IME all but the EMP (and Micro) should use the .325" tall sight.
you WILL have to file the sight dovetail base to get it onto the Springfield.
FWIW, on my Brown, DW and knedrgr's DW, the sight didn't need any filing.

Is the .325 height for the front or the rear if getting the set? Sorry for the n00b questions but I really have not done any modding yet

that would be the rear sight height for the Gov't, Champion and Ultra carry.
you may want to measure with a caliper to make sure you get the right height though.

well it's like asking "what 1911 is best?"

you can spend a =s=hit load of money on an expensive caliper, or buy a less expensive caliper. it doesn't matter as long as it works, fits your needs and is in your budget.
