lmao

saw that thing the other day and actually thought it was a joke.

you know how you see those 'spy cam' pics of the next generation model of certain cars and theyve got a bunch of crap spackled on them so you cant tell exactly what the finished product will actually look like?

i had hoped that something silly like this was the case here but alas these are evidently catalog pics.

edit: but if the trigger didnt have those little angles at the top and bottom Quack would be all over that gun!

Hokie1911

It seriously looks like some armchair quarterback gunsmith hackjob you would see listed on Gunbroker for $3,500.

Ya I like innovation and DEFINITELY dont like that! I think they could make it attractive by changing a few things, like rail, beavertail, checkering, and trigger guard. Id be interested in seeing more of it then

That 'thing' looks like it could be a double stack. It looks rather bulbous in the grip area.

So does Dan Wesson have anything socially respectable new to offer for 2011?

rsxr22
11-21-2010, 15:11
Definitely looks double stack to me as well. I hope instead of releasing new products, they just lower there prices back down LOL

nolt
11-21-2010, 15:26
it IS a doublestack

edit: apparently the catalog says up to 21 round 10mm capacity. per the guy on the other forum posting about it. he claims to be a sponsored CZ shooter.
dunno.

the fact that the mods havent deleted the thread kinda surprises me whether its true or not.

Is that the Caspian hicap frame?

ETA: Just read the entire thread, and it is a Caspian frame and that the "Elite" is not part of the standard production line but custom geared for competition.

I guess since I am not a "Gamer" it is worthless to me.

But is there really a market for a 10mm Gamer gun??

And what is the deal with the EB snakeskin?? Can't they do something original other than a EB ripoff??

Seems to me a collection of bad ideas all put together on one gun.

I think that's going to be a re-introduction of the DW revolver, not a semi-auto.
357Mag autoloaders are very few and far between with only the Desert Eagle and Coonan Arms being the ones I'm aware of.

No. And If I were to get a 2011 in 10mm I would get the STI Perfect 10. And I would use it for hog hunting at night and as a back-up. And Ted Nugent would give me a high-five.

THIS IS A JOKE ,RIGHT?

It isn't if you are a tactical, commando, ninja. Or that is basically what the guy that claimed to "invent" the gun said it was for.

He said a 38 Super and a 40 Short and Weak was also in the works.

It not supposed to be a regular DW production gun. Just a gun DW authorized to be made with their name on it. It is not being made by DW. Again all this is from what the "inventor" stated on another forum....so who has any idea if it has a lick of truth to it.

I might be interested if it was in the grand to 1,300 range. But fat chance of that.

Only thing I don't care for is the square trigger.

i think dan wesson could significantly improve the quality of their brand as a whole by simply getting away from the 'year model' kind of deal where they switch everything up every year or two.

this is just my non-professional opinion.

they dont make very many guns per year...
their guns are put together pretty tightly...
they seem to have a few more hiccups in reliability per number of units produced...

it would seem to me that if they would concentrate on their bread and butter guns and fine tune them and concentrate of making them more reliable and consistent at that same level of fitment then they would really totally have some great guns.

but instead they switch everything up ever year or two and in some ways start over.

So are cars, tools for work and leisure, do you take looks in consideration? I bet the answer is yes. A computer is a tool, and looks play a part for many people. Just because it's a tool doesn't mean looks are never considered by many if not most.

Clothing is actually tools for covering, keeping warm, etc. How much does look apply to most pertaining to clothing?

Work boots or Bally snakeskin loafers?
A Ford F 150 or a Jaguar XKE?
A pair of Wranglers or a silk suit?

Sometimes pretty takes a back seat to functional. It seems to me the most important criteria of a weapon is it's ability place a projectile of adequate power accurately on the target - every time the trigger is squeezed.

AssUgly? LOL. I can't imagine why pretty is important for a weapon.

Some say the same about cars nand the other things I named.......some do not just like with guns. People are different, accept it.

I have never bought a car based on looks, to me it's a tool. Many buy based specically on looks or at least partially. Also, just because someone thinks something is ugly does not mean they will never own one. I think glocks are ugly but will/have owned them...it's just opinions no reason to let them upset you.

Completely ridiculous examples you made by the way, why not compare this 10mm to a slingshot?
