Does anyone have any input on a IWB holster for a Sig C3? I would prefer leather due to how comfortable it is. I have done a good amount of research on this and cannot find any solid answers. Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I hear this is a good holster and they have it in stock.

You have to be careful with sigs, I carry my rcs in a minatuar from comp tac. It fits fine. The holster is half leather half kydex. I found most leather will stretch to fit but most kydex your out of luck.

Thanks for the info. It seems as though this is a common problem with owning a Sig 1911. Are the summer specials decent holsters? I was also looking at the Galco N3. My price range is around $100.

You might also check down in The Want Ads. I've noticed a couple of guys down there make horsehide/kydex or leather/kydex holsters. Prices look pretty reasonable and maybe one of them can fit that Sig.

Yes Milt Sparks has one of the best reputations they're much better made then any Galco holster IMO.

The Summer Special is the holster Clint Smith of Thunder Ranch uses.

Here's an article with Clint talking about holsters. 208128

Sparks are some of the best around and the Summer special is very good. From Brownells, you get a holster that most wait 6 months or more for. Kramer is a bit more than your budget, but very good horsehide holsters.

I am not a fan of the N3. It is not stable enough for me and rides up when you sit.

Thank you for the info! I need a holster to accommodate my waist also, that was the problem with other IWB holstes I have owned. They just did not feel right. That is why I am so confused on which one will work. Size 30 pants :)

One of the most important factors in carrying is what belt you use a good belt makes all the difference in the world.

Proceed immediately to the nearest Winchells and pig out. You need to develop a tactical belly!

What TacticalBlack said...good belt is paramount to good fit and comfort. The Wilderness style belts are okay (about $40), but most people can't get away with them all the time. A good leather belt will be at least $50, probably more like $75 and up.

HAHAHA even if I tried to get a tactical belly, it wouldnt happen.
I do have a thick US post certified belt (whatever that means)
But my main issue is that I am so skeptical on which holsters will work with my waist. Most reviews I see of holsters are people that are big guys. Which doesnt help me much figuring Im 5 7 and 155.

Honestly, the Sparks Summer Special is very good. I have one and I have several freidns who do as well, from thin to thick, they all like it.

Do they make that holster in Black?

There's plenty of people with smaller waist that can wear a IWB holster here's a couple pictures from the web I don't see why it would make any difference your waist size.

Yep, but with a 6-8 month wait from Sparks, if you can even get on the backorder list.

I'd get this one and take it to a local cobbler and get it dyed if you have to have black.

Im going to try and find a nice SS or Alessi Holster on the forums. If not I will just buy the ugly tan SS and dye it tacticool black :)

I ended up having a local holster maker make one for me. I am very happy with it & my C3 fits like a glove.

Will do! From the reviews and personally shooting the C3, I must say that I am in love. Accuracy, feel, and weight are amazing! I have not been this excited about a firearm in some time now.

I would actually think that a smaller waist would be more comfortable with IWB versus someone who has HUGE love handles. Less body fat to press up against the holster and butt of the gun. I have a 32W and love using a Tucker Answer.

Crossbreed Super Tuck. I own 2 of them and either carry a 1911 or G19 in one all day everyday. Very comfortable . Distributes the weight of the gun and CB warranty and customer service are great.
I own Sparks SS . For me too muck weight in one spot .
