Vostro 1500 Minimize Problem

I have a Dell Vostro 1500 and all of a sudden I can't minimize or restore opened windows. Even if I right click on tool bar and try to minimize or restore it seems to be froze up. I have ran Norton antivirus I get through Comcast. Any suggestions ? I do appreciate your help. rfrf

Which version of Windows? The Vostro 1500 originally came with a choice of XP or Vista. I have heard that some of the Vista updates can cause something like that. Sometimes a reboot helps. Which graphics does it have? Nvidia or Intel? Windows Update offers updated drivers but they are generic drivers and can cause problems, especially in laptops. It's best to use drivers only from Dell, even though Dell may not update many of them anymore. Video drivers, network drivers, etc.

Maybe uninstall Norton and install Microsoft Security Essentials.
