so i went to the range today to put some rounds through the Professional Operator and met up with a few friends, including lawdog and knedrgr.

I shot Lawdog's No Name and it is a really nice gun. I love 20lpi checkering and the NN had 15lpi. I think that 15lpi might be my new favorite checkering LPI. The NN shot really well and it really wasn't a surprise from reading reviews of those that have them. It was on my list of guns to buy and has moved up a few notches. Once the word gets out, i'm sure that they'll get real busy building guns.

The Pro Op actually felt lighter than it should even with a rail. The ATI FX Thunderbolt i handled at a shop a while ago felt quite heavier (from my memory). The first few mags i was getting used to it, but after that it was dead on. knedrgr shot the Pro and he shot a great group with it. Both the No Name and a Springfield Custom Shop gun are both high on his list now.

It was Lawdog's first time shooting a 9mm 1911/2011 and it was very enjoyable. He also shot the Wilson w/ .22LR conversion which he also liked. This may be a shock to all, but he liked the flat triggers :tongueout:
Lawdog also surprised me because all the LEO's that i see at the range are HORRIBLE shooters, it wasn't the case with him

2 of our other friends are still new to shooting (one being a college student still) and have polymer guns. After letting then shoot some of the 1911's they REALLY want one now

The NN is definitely on my short list as well. But Im getting a Nighthawk Predator first. I wanted one just looking at it and my buddy got back from deployment and just got the exact one i wanted! 5" coned barrel, naked slide with NH symbol on rear of serrations, black diamond finish, 10-8 sights, magwell, and rail. The gun is just unbelievable BUT priced a bit higher than the GC

It was a good time. Thanks to Quack I shot my first 9mm 1911 and my first Ed Brown. Both very cool. My first reaction to the Pro was also how light but very nice shooting. And then there was the flat triggers...... Which I did like. I had a really good time.

Had a blast today. Lawdog's NN was awesome! Had to really get use to the 15lpi...alittle too much for me, but as for the rest of the gun...amazing. Really like the black finish.

The Operator was just out of this world. Think my grouping at 7 yards was roughly 5/8" fir the whole mag. :-O.

Turning another 1911 shooter into a COTEFT member
