Thinking about getting two of these for a couple of my 870's, was wondering if someone that has one could do a quick measurement for me? Just want to make sure it's not so short.

11 and 1/8th inches. I like the Hogue on my 870, but I had to have a gunsmith install it. Screw heads are hard to find. :wavey:

I'm thinking of getting one of those too.
Just gotta sell my police stock and forend first.

I bought one for a Winchester - both stock & forend -

I returned it - because the forend was a POS - the stock was OK - but the recoil pad is not the best - plain old soft rubber.

I sent Hogue an Email asking them if the recoil pad from my OEM stock would fit - it does not - so I will not be ordering one for my 870 - good luck finding a quality recoil pad to fit this stock.

I will bet most would like to keep their R3 pad or super cell pads.

Z71bill is correct on the forend. I have a picture to prove this but am to stupid to figure out how to post it. The issue is the ribs inside the forend. These will deform over time causeing you to have to tighten the tube nut. Soon it is imposible to keep the forend tight. No, not an imediate issue but with heavy use it will occur over the years. I build my weapons for the long haul, to last and take heavy use and will not use this forend. I tell the clients the clients and if they want it they can have it but I will not recommend it. And yes, I am sure that some guys will post in that they have had this forend on their weapon for 100 years with no issues. Congrads you got a good one and I am happy for you.
