I'm looking to get a Kimber Pro series. I looked at both a Pro Carry II and a Pro TLE II side by side today. Don't know which I would rather have, the TLE II is about $185 more than the Pro Carry II. I like the front strap checkering, night sights and all steel frame of the TLE II. I like the weight, price and trigger on the Pro Carry II. What I found most interesting was the trigger of the Pro Carry II seemed so much crisper than the TLE's trigger. The trigger on the TLE II seemed very mushy compared to the crispness of the Pro Carry's trigger. Can anyone explain to me why that would be, Am I just imagining it? Or is the trigger different? Could I adjust it? If so how? Thanks for the help.

I had a PC2 and the $185 difference is easily worth it. You can always (cheaply) change out the trigger and clean up that action. I added a Harrison trigger and it was buttery smooth.

Those TLE items are worth $185.

You can't have the steel frame AND lighter weight. Pick one.

Triggers in the 1911 can vary gun-to-gun. Easy to fix (if you know how, or for a gunsmith).

I have a Pro Carry II and love it, but if I was to do it all over again, I'd go with the Pro TLE II.

Sure, if you want a ProCarry that cost as much as a VBOB. :tongueout:

For the same money, I'd take a VBOB over a MIMber. You know what they say about putting lipstick on a pig...

At the end of the day it's still a :pig:
