I just couldn't pass up this pre series 70 Colt Gold Cup National Match model. I've always thought these models were some of the best looking and coolest Colts ever made, so I sort of impulsively seized the opportunity to pick one up. :)

Cody, I'm glad you "pulled the trigger" on that one.

You'll love it. :)

Pretty great site. I need to quit hanging out there so much though, I'm not usually that impulsive.

I hope I like it as well as you like yours. I know you hold yours in high regard. Of course, yours is AMAZING. :wow:

Yeah, activation is a little slow at GT, but well worth the wait. Lots of good stuff here.

Nice looking Colt. I've always liked that model too.

Don't mean to hijack your thread 38 SF, but I have a question for the OP.

If someone were to buy a pistol like that on GB, only to find it was worn a bit more than the photos showed, would it adversely affect its value if one were to send it back to Colt to be refinished.

Thanks,
Ed

I've owned several, and carried them as duty guns. Only problem: The pin holding the rear sight in had a tendency to either break or "walk" out. Keep an eye on it. Mine were always 100% reliable (never a jam even with my handloads) and scarey accurate. Gots me a s&W 108284 no to replace them. love the s&Ws!!
