Some may remember that I bought this Springfield a few weeks ago: http://www.georgiapacking.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=53096,
and I was told then it would not be my last.

After the gun show last weekend I stopped by to see my good friends at Autry's Armory, and while looking around I "just asked" to only "hold" this pistol.

That was a big fat mistake, and I knew it the minute it hit my hands.

It is a Kimber Pro CDP II. Comes from their Custom Shop, and everything is hand fitted. Very, very, tight.

I have fired about 150 rounds, per Kimbers break-in instructions. This thing is very tight, and has to be broken in!! I'm used to yanking a Glock out of the box and firing away. First 30 rounds went flawless. Next 20 rounds had FTRB, about 1 per magazine.

Stripped, cleaned, and oiled, then about 50 more rounds. Only 1 FTRB.

Stripped, cleaned, and oiled tonight, 50 more rounds, all ran flawless without a problem.

Taking it to the range tomorrow night for about 200-300 more, and I hope to proclaim it "carry ready". Kimber says about 300 and it should be good to go.

This is the most expensive pistol I have ever bought. It feels expensive, and it feels good in the hand.

And now for the best part::::::::

Congrats. I dig the ProCDP. Aside from the ProTLE2, they are my favorite Kimber.

I like the CDP Pro alot. I had mine "modified" just a tad though, and like it even better. Here's mine (on left). Bobtailed.

sweet. lot's of folks on here, for one reason or another, mainly reliability i think, don't care for the 3in 1911's. but i think the major manufacturers have really figured out the timing issue. i can't make my new agent choke. and nothing comes close to being as comfortable iwb.

Here it is from the front, on the stand, posed over my UCII. Before I had Chuck send it home, I had him put a single sided safety on it.

it's that damn nc humidity. 98 degrees with 95% humidity. hard chrome or stainless only makes sense. i just love blue. i'm thinking. plus one of the first semi's i ever shot was my dads nickeled gm. he was a cop at the time and though he sold or traded it, i still see it in my mind. it was beautiful. i was about 12 or so. scared the crap out of me.

All 3 have stainless slides and the frames were Cerakoted to match the original Kimber finish.

Good choice.

You're the one that helped me decide to make it the next one I purchase... I was torn between that and a EMP...
