... liquidate a Kimber Stainless II 5" and a G26 in order to buy a Kimber Pro CDPII for every day carry? Why or Why not?

I would not. I do not like Pro model Kimbers and have a Compact Stainless II, although it did have reliability and function issues that 3 and 4 inch officer frame Kimbers are known for. Also it seems to me the CDPs command a higher price based on appearance features, which I would not pay for a gun thats going to be a EDC.

I also wouldn't trade a SSII off, unless you don't like it. If it came down to it though I would probably rather carry a Pro Kimber than a Glock 26.

Just my preferences and opinions.

Nope......of the option listed, I would be EDCing my G26.

Wait 2 weeks and cool off... shoot your Kimber... If you still need the trade do it... I think you are trading down over all.

I would think twice before selling the others to get the Pro CDP II. Personally, I carry a Stainless Pro Carry II and BAC carries the Pro CDP II. It is well worth having, but you have determine at what price. Shop the classifieds on GT and you may find a used one at a good price.

I carry that exact gun and love it, but I doubt I'd sell off both of them to acquire one.

I would not make that deal. I, too, really like the G26. Beside that, it's just not a good deal.

I'd keep the G26 and trade the remaining Kimber plus cash for a used EMP.

I should've made myself more clear. It isnt a propsed trade. I have two individuals interested in buying each gun from me. The resulting cash would leave me more than enough to buy a Pro CDPII. I have always wanted one to carry, but I just simply wont have the cash anytime soon to buy it. This would be the only way to get the money. I just cant talk myself into getting rid of a 1911 and G26 to get a 1911.

I would...but then Kimber is not on my list of 1911's. Sold my G26 and got a SA Ultra Compact. And I like it a lot better than my G26 as an EDC.

i traded a well used g19, and a reconditioned g21 for a NIB sig 1911. seemed strange trading 2 guns for one but i am glad i did, carry it everyday.

I'd sell them both and buy a Dan Wesson CCO for every day carry. Now you're up town !
