I have 2 guns for trade, a Winchester 1300 HD shotgun and a G30, and got an offer for a Springer Lightweight Operator, 250 rds. down the pipe, looks to be in Very good shape.

Would you?

1. Take the trade

2. Keep the Shotgun and G30

Was really looking for a decent used AR but this got me thinking, and I love the 1911 platform. (Who doesn't:cool:)

I had a Springer GI a few months back and regretted selling it off (to get the G30)

I can't make up my mind!!! Help me decide! :crying:

And don't get me wrong, I love the G30 and the Winchester, just looking for something different. I get bored easily.

congrats! One could argue that they dont like FCS, but rails are practical--as long as you attach a light. I think you made a good choice!! I definitely prefer w/o, but for a gun that is going to be used, they are a very smart idea

Yeah I am not a fan of FCS either. But the gun itself I am.

The TRL-3 is for the XDsc which my GF carries. Just plopped it on there to see.

Im not sure I understand your post. I was replying to the comment that springfields were a dime a dozen.

I saw you originally want an AR15. I have an S&W M&P 15A and I would trade it for a Lightweight Operator in a flash.

Lightweight Operators are about the most sought after, Wait time for a new one right now is upwards of one year.

There is one used one on GunBroker right now and no new ones.

That does make me start to think, but I fell in love with this thing.

It might be on it's way to the SA Custom Shop to get a few goodies soon.

Might even get the TRP upgrade done. But that would be at a later date.

There is one for sale... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=207016462

I was agreeing.

Said I like what I got, weather they are common or not.

I traded some common guns for a not as common gun, works for me.

Only thing I am interested in is a Full Rail Operator... that might make me part with this gun...

Ahh you've been bit, the bug from a rail, to wanting a full rail. Just wait til you realize the pro and for a while the MC Operators had square cut rails, there's another to hunt for.

I'd love a railed Springer. I love my Springer Loaded Park. I put Ed Brown pads on the bottom of my mags too. Did they come in the package or did you put them on? I'm using my Springfield mags until they break. I use them mostly for range use. I carry Wilson 47D's.

firecatwilson
12-18-2010, 16:46
The pads were on there already. I will get some better mags for carry but until then the factory mags will do!

Ha! Ha! Yes, I've looked at all of them already...

I'm well beyond hooked, I just need to man up and buy one!

Holding out for some odd reason, oh yes, X-mas...

Maybe after the holidays I can add a Full-rail or Custom to the mix.

If I did get a MC operator it would go get Armory-Kote Black right away, not a fan of the green/black. And toss those ugly wrap-around grips too!
