AR 15 barrels

I'm looking for a 16 inch chrome lined carbine, dissipator or middy barrel. There is only one catch, I can't have it threaded. The AG office is screwing around with muzzle brakes so I don't want to have to have a pinned brake on it. Any suggestions on where to look? I'd like to keep costs to around 200-300 dollars. Thanks for your time.

You would probably need to buy an 18" barrel and have it cut off and re-crowned.
I don't know anyone making mid length, post ban barrels.

Can you do that to chrome lined barrels? I've got a 20 inch upper and I'd like to have a 16 inch with a shorter handguard. Thanks a lot for your help.
