Thank god its just a frame!
it's not just aluminum, it's made from recycled soda can's so it's environmentally friendly too :whistling:
oh, and by the way is the frame cut for a ramped barrel?
the Ciener design (which the Kimber is) is not designed to work with frames that use ramped barrels.
form Kimber's site:
Rimfire conversion kit, black, adjustable sights, one ten round magazine included. Fits Mil-Spec 1911's* with 4-inch to 5-inch barrels, full size frame with traditional non-ramped barrels only.

Environmental concerns are very important to us here in Oregon.
.....but I don't recycle my Wolf casings! (many many 1000s of them)

Marvel kits work on both.
Kimber kits only work with frames not cut for ramped barrels. I would ask Bobby if the frame is cut for a ramped frame or not. He has said in the past that he will not make Alloy frames cut for ramped barrels anymore because they were....defective.
I would ask, seriously. I in my dealings with him he doesn't seem to know his arse from a hole in the ground.

No, I would just ask Bobby in a Email "Is the frame cut for a ramped barrel?" (Save the email)
I would not trust his "Sure...It'll work."

I won't have time to build it till after Christmas. I just mailed the check off today so the frame won't be here for 10 working days or so. I've ordered frames from Bob before and the turnaround time is around 2 weeks. it will take me about 4 hours to build, test fire and get up to speed.
