STI Ranger ll or Kimber Pro Carry 11

I had a ProCarry2. If I was buying that size again around $1k, I would hands down buy the STI. Don't get me wrong, the Kimber was nice...but it was my first 1911 to test the platform and gave me an idea of what I want and don't want in a pistola.

Based on the 1 STI and 9 Kimbers I have hands on with, the STI is a better gun. Granted my STI is a Legacy, so, that's not a fair comparison. I don't have any hands on experience with the Ranger, but STI makes great stuff. That being said Kimber makes a great gun as well. I'd be willing to put my Stainless Pro Raptor up against the Ranger, but my Pro Carry II is probably a lesser gun...in stock form...:cool:

Have had a ProCarry Series I and now have an STI Ranger. The ProCarry was a nice pistol. The Ranger is spectacular!
