I'm not new to handguns. However i am new to Glocks.
I just purchased a brand new Glock 26, i like it but have
1 complaint. Everytime i field strip it i find my guide rod/recoil
spring assembly "not seated" as it should be, there is a circular
half moon shape machined out of the bottom side of the barrel that the guide rod assembly should rest in, however mine just wont stay seated completely.
I make sure its seated the whole way, re-assemble my gun, then cycle my slide once and refield strip to check and everytime the guide rod pops out of seat by about an 1/8 of an inch..... why? i already ordered a stainless guide rod assembly, im hoping this helps, although the issue doesn't seem to effect the guns shootability it still shouldnt happen to a brand new gun made by a company claiming "Glock Perfection".... this guide rod not staying in seat is by no means perfection.

anyone else have this issue?

Everybody has this same issue. The gun is performing exactly as designed

after really analyzing the mechanics of the internals i do see that the guide rod has to pivot on that seat a little so when a round is fired the barrel can rise and force the slide back... it def should be this way, i guess glocks are perfect... what an accurate little shooter too!
