View Full Version : Done playing gunsmith tonight...
after i fit the parts on the TRP-C, i decided to start to fit the Ed Brown grip safety on the Remington R1. after doing this by hand tonight i want a mill
it's not done yet, i still have a little filing left, then it's on to blending.

This is the fun part. Doing it by hand is the best way. It is good therapy and you really get a feel for it.
please post the picture of the finished product. very nice.
I agree on the machines! We have a machine shop next door and are constantly running over to use their stuff. All I would want is a mill and lathe! And you could do just about anything

Sweet. I smell a Remsport build in your near future.
would've been done earlier today, but i was watching a friend sone.
I still have some clean-up to do, but wanted to mock up the R1. also waiting for more parts for it, but the hard part is done :)

I stuck these things in my Remington R1 (no gunsmithing skills required) then took them out after thinking about it for a while. The stock R1 grip safety doesn't bite me and the gun looks kinda cool as Remington envisioned it.
