i just got a used gen 3 g22 and noticed the guide rod sticks out more than my g23 is this normal? it sticks out past the barrel! can i use a gen 4 spring in my gen 3 glock 22? thanks scott
Post a pic of the GR sticking past the end of the slide so I can determine if it is normal?
No you can not use a Gen4 GR on a Gen3 gun

I verified the 5600 stamping on a G21 & G24 just now. Both are marked the same so you can not go by that.
The G21 recoil spring is 3.36 OAL
The G22 recoil spring is 3.22 OAL
I installed the G21 GR into my G22 slide & it looks exactly like the pic you supplied.
