It kinda looks like one too.
Wilson made them for a short time and then stopped. Never heard anything good about them.

Gun Shark showed me this in the General Firearms section. Wilson's version of the Hi-Point?

You know if it had a flat trigger you'd be all over it. :tongueout:

nope, a flat trigger wouldn't even help how bad the ADP is. handled one in the gun shop, researched it, and read of the problems that they have.
This gun is an import from South Africa, has been sold under the name Heritage by Tangfolio.
ADP= Alex DuPlessis
South African designer of the KZ-45 frame and the ADP
I actually thought in the past of adding one of those to my odd pistol collection, but held off.
It was never a real good pistol.

Hard to beleive that Bill ever let that thing in the shop. Looks like a custom shop Hi-Point.
Atleast he realized he needed to stick to 1911's

Alex is/was the lead engineer at Wilson and I'm sure that's the only reason they put their name on it.

Are you sure you have the right Alex? I know that Alex Zimmerman, owner of Guncrafter, used to be the lead engineer at Wilson. Unless there were 2 Alex's? :dunno:

Quite sure.
I consider even the Supergrades to be a good value after seeing the work that is poured into one,but nothing we make will ever be cheap.
The best never is.

From the horses mouth
WilsonCombatrep:As you can imagine, there is more to the story on the ADP.
The designer of the ADP, Alex DuPlessis (ADP)....came to work for Wilson.
he and Bill were long time friends from the old days of IPSC.
Alex had a completely engineered pistol (ADP)that was ready to go, already had some components and basically had offered them up practically as a gift. The gun had already been produced by two factories and was "vetted".
Remember, there is no such thing as a free lunch! The ADP opened up many markets for us, and there are a still are bunch of fans out there, but lets face it-its not a Wilson. There is nothing Wilson remotely about it except for the name on the slide. It was a marketing mistake. Luckily it was before my time.
