I used to grip the magwell until I was enlightened. Its so much more stable and mobile to grip as far out on the HG as possible.

Yep,.......balance and control are far better the closer you get to the muzzle.

Merry Christmas Mike! :supergrin:

Save your money, it's a range commando toy.

There really isnt a need to do so. Been there done that. Its not an ideal grip location. Like FAA said, the closer to the muzzle the better. Your groups will tighten and youll get on target quicker. The rifle will feel lighter and you wont become as fatigued.

Merry Christmas to you as well Greg. Hope its a good one.

Mjkeat summed it up very well. About the only time I grip the mag well is when shooting
with the rail/tube/hand guard resting on a barricade. I prefer to use the support hand out
as far as possible, if I can. It just gives ME better leverage and control of the muzzle.

i never intended to grip the magwell,as i like to grip further out,but this thing seems like it might help me protect from scratches & such as i am always out in the forest walking around while i shoot.i'll stop & sit my rifle down to maybe spot scope or something.....but mostly i was just curious what company this was as i googled with fail......thanks for all the great replies......i think i'll save 20 bucks & put it towards reloading supplies......
i just got an ipod touch for xmas,so i'm gonna' needan ar ipod attachment....hehe....

Back in my M16 days i had to go for the magwell sometimes, until I jammed a rifle doing so ( my hand was partially open and to my best guess, empty hit my fingers and bounced back in, causing a double feed).

Thus ending my magwellhandling except in a few limited situations. With the M4 and a VFG generally not an issue, but there were a few times I still did.

Free=Free, but it's still a piece of crap. :)
