G19 gen 2 conversion?

What would you need to do to convert a Gen 2 G19 to 40 S&W or .357sig? I've read a few post about just swapping out the "upper" on the gen 3's but I couldn't find anything about the gen 2 frames.

Changing out a Gen2 frame is not recommended by the factory. It will void warrantee.
That being said, LWD has thousands of customers that install conversion barrels into their Gen2 frames. I have yet to see a failure HOWEVER I also realize these conversion barrels are lucky to have more than a few hundred rounds through them.

Bottom line is: You take the risk into your own hands. There is a remote possibility you could loose the frame. Absolutely nobody will warrantee this one.

Does the same warning apply to the gen 2 G22 as well. Converting the G22 is what got me thinking about the G19.
As for the G19, she'll stay a 9mm. I'll just save up for that G23 instead. :embarassed:

Yes you can safely convert a Gen2 G22 into a 9mm by installing a LWD conversion barrel.

That's an idea, I was look at going to 357sig, but 9mm is a lot cheaper to shoot.
