Strange request but I'll ask anyway. Can anybody using Wilson 47D's and ETM's post a picture of one of each in the frame? I am trying to decide between the two and am unable to locate pictures of them actually in a frame, specifically, one without an extended magwell.

I am only asking as I hear there is a slight difference in length. Of course if anyone has a preferrence of the two listed I am willing to listen.

IIRC, Wilson just resigned the basepad on the ETM. I had one and it was kind of large. The new ones are smaller, more like their standard pads.

With the standard base pad, there isn't much difference in length. However, with an optional short base pad, you can see a difference. The advantage to the ETM mag is the mag body is longer, which gives more rooms to the rounds. This allows for what "feels" like a more robust spring, though I haven't confirmed this.

The ETM tube is noticeably longer (maybe 1/4"). By using a wrap around base pad, the OAL isn't increased by much.

Here is a back view of the mags. As you can see, the ETM tube is longer. While it does give it more room, the mag cannot be made shorter (without cutting up the tube), whereas the 47D can benefit from the smaller base pad.

One of the reasons Wilson came out with the ETM is because there just isn't enough room in the 47D for what it really needs, a beefier spring. I have a bunch of 47Ds but for close to same price of the I'm sold on these.
