Thoughts on this holster

I figured I'd ask here since I think I'll get more replies, plus I swear I've seen this brand mentioned here before.

I'm thinking of selling my VM-II to make a few bucks. I am looking at an Occidental Stronghold Convertible. I like the versatility of having two carry styles out of one holster.

I remember reading on one holster brand that popped up, everyone seemed to pick them up and eventually I saw a bunch up for sale in the classifieds. I remember something like the leather was too thick or too tight.

Don't know if this was the brand or not?

Anyone have/tried one of these? Thoughts?

Had it with a VM2. Build quality was just as good. Was VERY tight out of the box. Fits really similar to the Sparks. I have some comparison pics in this thread of the IWB Stronghold Phoenix. When I pick up my KC...it will be riding in a VM2. Was buttery smooth from the get go. Perfect retention.

my take on this type of holster is basically this:

the further the rear belt snap is placed from the rigid stitched edge of the gun, the more bend will develop in that area and the more potential for the grip of the gun to protrude laterally a little bit (a little bit means alot!)

the reason i believe that i personally havent found another holster of this design that i prefer over the VM2 is that the VM2 holds it rigidity in that area, it doesnt bend. the front loop area is obviously designed to bend.

...so if worn anywhere near 3oclock on a frame similar to mine the front loop flexes and allows the rigid rear loop to pull the handle of the grip in as it curves around the back of the body.

a seemingly small amount of potential flex in that rear area will allow the grip to stick out as soon as the holster starts getting broken in.
