I wonder why it's being passed around so much. From the description, it doesn't sound as if any of the owners are shooting it much. If there were something inherently wrong with it, it seems one of the owners would get it fixed at some point. Hmmm.......

Anytime I see a pistol getting around as much as this one is, it is just a red flag to me.

What GJ said...

Especially for the $2,100 he is asking. You can get a new one for that.

Sarge43
01-06-2011, 14:01
Maybe it's just a matter of putting the decimal in the wrong spot. You think he meant $21.00? Not $2,100?
I agree though. I can walk into any Cabela's and walk out with a NIB for that price. Maybe a little less even.

Fella's, I got no dog in this fight (in fact I'd love the price to come down) but that's the best shooting Commander I've ever shot, EASILY. I'd LOVE to have it back, and it would stay permanently!

And I do think it's a little unseemly to trash it while a dude is trying to sell it in this forum, and I definitely don't think $2100 could buy a better Commander, and I mean that sincerely.

I don't know if I have any real cred here, but I'll vouch for this pistol's integrity.

No, you certainly didn't, but there was a little stone throwing. No biggie, just not something I would feel comfortable doing. I'm probably being sensitive since that is hands down the finest pistol I've ever let get away. I'd seriously love to have it back. You guys need a good cause? :wavey:

I'm sorry if any of my posts were taken as stone throwing. It's just that not knowing the history of the pistol and people saying that it's been sold more than once, I had to think that there's something more to the story. I've never seen a stellar example of a pistol be handed around and sold more than once. Just found it curious. If it was taken in another way, then I apologize. It's really none of my business.

I don't think its a big deal. Frankly, the fact this is such a unique and easily identifiable pistol is why it's sale(s) get so noticed. A GLOCK can get sold ad nauseam without being noticed.

Guys, I know the feeling of the OP and want to support his effort. I am the third owner of mine and have tried to sell it a couple of times. Call it buyers remorse and not being sure that spending that much money was a good idea. But is it worth it - yes. I get a few low-ball offers, go back to the closet and fondle it and take it off the market. My gain.

Im sure the guy is catching a lot from people mainly because of his asking price!! Used KC's go all the time for around 1800-1850. If you want to sell it, you have to price it in the market.

Glad I read your post before I threw in my two cents. I was gonna say that obviously there must be something really wrong with it for it to be getting passed around like a drunken party slut, but if you've owned it and vouch for the gun, then at least it may be a decent buy. I'm not a fan of the FCS, but it is different. Good luck to the seller and hopefully the buyer will hang on to it.
