What kind of mags are you looking to paint? Aluminum USGI? PMAGs?

On a bored day, I used Rustoleum on my grip, one Bushy mag, and one black PMAG. I thought it was going to be darker... :whistling:. Looks like something for snow use. I was going for desert.... It's started to come off from me banging it against stuff.

I just don't see the point. I kinda like the worn look.

These are really worn, got em pretty cheap. They are USGI mags.

If you want to get a little creative with them I would suggest Krylon. I just used it for painting my Remington 700 and it turned out nice. Thats just what I would use though. Are you looking to make patterns on the mags or just paint the whole body?

Krylon, then matte clearcoat over the krylon for some added durability.

since I got them so cheap, I was looking to do some different stuff on them to see how they turn out. I will post pics when done.

I do different styles. These match my rifle. The rifle was done about 9 months ago and the mags are fairly new which is why they look a bit different. The mags need to wear in a bit.

I also number the mags if you notice it. That was mag #7 of 10 that I did. Brand new USGI mags with magpul followers and ranger plates.

Edit - Sorry, painted with Krylon. I do not paint any higher than the magwell. I also use a matte clear from time to time.
