Hornady Critical Defense rounds? I just came across a couple of reviews and ballistics reports and everything I've read looks really good, and makes a lot of sense.

I was wondering whether anyone has ran a significant number through their G36 and/or carries them? I'm currently carrying Golden Sabers, but the Critical Defense performs really well and looks to be a bit cheaper.

Thanks, and stay safe.

I have put about 40 Critical Defense rds through my G 36 with no problems. I use to carry with them when I visited NJ. The LEOSA has been updated and now LEOs under LESOA can carry HPs in the Peoples Republik of New Jersey. I actually carry Speer Gold Dot HP Short Barrels in my G 36.

I've put 2 boxes ( 50 rounds ) @ $25 per box of Hornady CD 45acp through my G30SF without incident...

Carry same everyday.

Thanks for the input guys. I didn't expect anyone to report major problems, but carry ammo is one of those things you don't want to skimp on/not fully investigate. Looks like I'll be picking up a couple of boxes the next time I'm out and about. Thanks again, and stay safe.

Try Ammotogo.com They frequently have it in stock at a decent price

Yesterday my G36 choked three times on Winchester White Box. Failure to eject. Very disappointing. No way I limp-wristed. Any similar experiences or suggestions? The firearm itself is in good working order.

I would try several other brands of 230 grain hardball. Try the American Eagle. My Glock 36 always runs good with it. The same with Blazer 230 grain ball. Maby it is just the ammo.

My new 36 has 300 flawless rounds of WWB down the pipe. I've been using Hornady Critical Defense in my 19... Good to know that it's just as good for the 36. Will have to give it a try now that I'm willing to carry this pistol.

I have had Major issues with my G36.

This is from today.......

Just went out and shot my g36 today for the first time since JUNE and getting it back from GLock and guess what?

Only 1 FTE...catching on the ejection port and.....

6 staying in the pipe. Stuck in the pipe until I released the magazine and had to use my fingernail to get the empty casing to fall backward.

That was 7 mafunctions in 75 rounds. I just got tired of messing with it.

Lawman ammo was used today.

Gonna send it to GLock AGAIN, tomorrow

May I suggest that you put more rounds through that G36 before sending it back. I would start with only 50 rounds at a time. How far does the barrel raise when you shoot it?
